Crime Blotter: 2 Bodies Found in SW Atlanta; Man and Woman Shootout in Motel Parking Lot

The last 2 days have been a little crazy with crime activity in SW Atlanta.

There have been a number of strange criminal occurrences to happen in Southwest Atlanta the last two days, so much so that we created this crime blotter article to try to cover all of the instances instead of reporting on them one by one.

Firstly, 2 bodies were found Monday in the area.  According to reporting by 11Alive.com, "the first body was found shortly before 7 a.m. in the front yard of a home on South Gordon Street," near Cascade and Ralph David Abernathy.  The body was found with bullet wounds, leaving police to suspect he was shot to death.

A few hours later 11Alive also reported that the body of a woman was found in a vacant house off of Cleveland Avenue, on 3rd Avenue.  The Atlanta Police Department said that they found the body while responding to a normal "person-down" call.
