Deadly Overnight Lawton Ave. House Fire - Fire Investigators Search for Clues
1 person is dead, and fire investigators continue to search for the cause of the deadly fire.
Janet Ward with the Atlanta Fire Department reported to Cascade Patch that a man is now dead after firefighters found him inside his burning Lawton Avenue home.
According to Ward, the person found in the home, "was badly burned and also suffered smoke inhalation." He was transported to Grady Hospital, but died from his injuries.
Neighbors in the area, told WSB-TV that they called 911 after smelling and seeing smoke.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
