The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a Monday night shooting that left two people with gunshots at 3787 Martin Luther King Drive, near the Adamsville neighborhood. The male victim had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene, and a woman also was shot.
According to Officer Kim Jones, "on 7-16-13 approximately 10:12 pm, units responded to a person shot call." Officer Jones says that, "one victim suffered at least two gunshot wounds and was deceased on scene. There was a second victim (female) who suffered at least one gunshot wound."
Lt. Paul Guerrucci said from the scene overnight, that he believes the shooting happened outside a home/apartment and the victim stumbled back into his home where he died.
According to Officer Jones, "the female victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition."
