Atlanta police are investigating a fatal stabbing in southwest Atlanta that left one man dead.
"Zone 4 units responded to a person stabbed call at 2060 Alison Court SW, apartment B-1," according to Officer K.Y. Jones, in the Atlanta Police Department's Public Affairs Unit. "Upon arrival Zone 4 located a victim with a stab wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Grady Hospital where he died a short time later."
Jones said that the department's homicide division arrived on the scene and has taken over the investigation. No suspects are in custody at this time, and the victim's name has not been released.
