Hair Snatched During Monday's Greenbriar Parkway Hair Salon Smash & Grab

The hair weave thieves strike again in the Greenbriar Mall area.

APD Zone 4 investigative units are still combing through the scene of an early morning smash and grab on Monday at the Beauty Bar Hair Salon on Greenbriar Parkway.

According to Officer Kim Jones, there is not much info as yet.  The amount of hair and other items stolen has not been reported nor the identity of the suspects.

"On today's date, approximately 5:17 am, Zone 4 units were dispatched to 2740 Greenbriar Pkwy S. W. #B12 on a smash and grab." said the APD public affairs officer.  Jones goes on to say, "when officers arrived at the location, they noticed the entire front of the business had been damaged by an unknown vehicle that was no longer on scene. Drawers and cabinets were left open suggesting they had been looked through."

APD investigators say they made attempts to contact a key holder/ store manager, but they were unsuccessful.

Officer Jones reports that, "it appears that one or more televisions were missing from the walls at the location."  It is unclear if any hair products were taken from the store and the full damage will not be known until the owners arrive Monday morning.

Gang squads were reportedly called in to help with the investigation, because many times these local smash and grab incidents are committed by groups of young teens involved with gang-activity.

Cascade Patch will have more once the suspects have been named.
