Man Found Dead Outside Montclaire Estates Clubhouse

The body of a 21-year-old man was found dead Monday in a parking lot of the subdivision, off New Hope Road.

Fulton County police are still looking for the person who shot and killed a 21-year-old man Monday night in the parking lot of the clubhouse at Montclaire Estates, Cpl. Kay Lester said Tuesday afternoon.

The man—identified Tuesday by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office as Erston D. Hawkins–was found dead in the parking lot by police, Detective Melissa Parker told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

A man who lives in a home near the clubhouse, on Montcalm Drive near Colonnade Avenue, told police he heard gunfire shortly after 8 p.m. Monday.

"When he looked out he observed the body in the parking lot of the clubhouse," Lester said.

Lester said the man said he saw a dark-colored vehicle leaving the scene.

According to a report on WSB-TV, Fulton County Detective Melissa Parker said Hawkins lived in a community near the subdivision.

No additional information was available Tuesday afternoon, Lester said.
