Man shot to death on Ira Street Friday night

Atlanta Police investigating a pair of deaths in Southwest Atlanta from Friday including a single-vehicle accident on Langford Parkway involving a 63-year-old motorist.

Two men lost their lives Friday night in separate incidents in Southwest Atlanta.

According to Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee, around 8:15 p.m., a man was found dead on an Ira Street sidewalk as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner later identified the man as 32-year-old Dontacus Rosser of Atlanta. Chafee told Patch that homicide investigators are conducting the investigation and that anyone with information on this homicide is asked to contact investigators at 404-546-4235 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

Then around 9 p.m., a single-vehicle accident on Langford Parkway resulted in the death of the driver, later identified as James Turner, 63, of Atlanta.

The cause of the crash, which occurred near Greenbriar Parkway, remains under investigation according to Chafee.
