MARTA Police Still Searching for Marta Bus Robber

Authorities release updated sketch.

On Thursday, April 8, ten MARTA Passengers were robbed at gunpoint on their way in to Oakland City Train Station.

The robbery took place in the 1100 block of Campbellton Rd. and the passengers were on the “83” Cambellton Road and Greenbriar bus. The suspect ran towards the Greenbriar area after robbery.

The description of the suspect is a black male between the age of 35-40 years old, dark skin, short hair, 180 - 200 lbs, "nappy beard and wearing bi-focal glasses," MARTA spokeswoman Cara Hodgson said in a statement. "He was also wearing a dark grey hoodie, black pants and black shoes."

An updated sketch has been released by MARTA Police.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Marta Police are asking anyone with information to call (404) 848-4911.
