Most Bizarre: Woman Shoots Female Home Intruder, yet both were Arrested

A home invasion was thwarted but the homeowner was also arrested.

Early Thursday morning Atlanta Police were called to an apartment on Continental Colony Parkway, near Greenbriar Mall, due to an attempted home invasion and subsequent shooting.

According to police, a female suspect either kicked in the door or attempted to kick in a door, when a woman inside the apartment shot through the door 4 times.  The burglary suspect was shot 3 times in her chest, and she fled from the scene to Grady Hospital.  She is being charged with burglary and criminal damage to property.

The bizarre twist is that the woman inside the apartment was also arrested early Thursday morning.  According to a WSB report, as Atlanta Police attempted to investigate the crime, they found drugs in the apartment and were not helped in finding the gun that was involved in the shooting.
