New Family Dollar on Cascade Road Robbed at Gunpoint - Video of Suspects

3 suspects with guns drawn, rob Family Dollar on Cascade

It has happened again...A local Family Dollar store was robbed at gunpoint, this time the new store at Beecher and Cascade was robbed by 3 men holding weapons.

According to the police report, "on January 3, 2014 3 males walked into Family Dollar. 2 of the males wore black clothing and black hoodies with black masks on their faces. Both males that wore all black clothing had semi automatic pistols in their hands. The taller male had on black gloves and white shoes. The shorter male had either red gloves or a red bandana covering his hands and the pistol."

THe video shows that the 3 men walked in together, and at least 2 of them had pistols in hand. THe responding officer wrote in his report that, "One witness stated that they pointed a gun at him and told him to get on the floor. When (the witness) got on the floor, the suspects then pointed their pistols at the register. The cashier stated that she came around the counter to ring up a customer and three males told her to give her the money."

Family Dollar did not release information about the amount of money they were able to steal.  A manager of the location told officers that just days earlier they received threats from a particular individual who stated he was going to rob the place.  It is not clear whether this person was involved or not tin the recent robbery.

Police want your help in identifying the men in the surveillance video.

Any information on these cases can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), onlinewww.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). (Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.)

So our Question Still Stands....Is Family Dollar just 'unlucky' or are they a magnet for crime in our neighborhoods? There is yet another being built in the West End... Tell us in the comments.
