News Nearby: 5 Men Crash into East Point DMV, Steal ATMs Then Burn Them

One vehicle left at the scene, and another found burning in Atlanta

East Point police are hoping someone has information that will lead to the arrest of 5 men seen crashing into the East Point DMV along Welcome All Road and stealing multiple ATMs.

According to WSB reports, the incident happened around 4:30 a.m., Thursday, and the men had 2 vans at the scene.  One was used to crash through the window and was left inside the DMV and another was used as a getaway car.

The second van, which the suspects used to getaway in was later found burned along with two of the stolen ATMs on Anderson Avenue in Atlanta, near Carver Circle off Tiger Flowers Drive.

11Alive reports that, "police believe the suspects made off with about $5,500."

Investigators have indicated that some sort of gasoline or lighter fluid was used on the van to set it on fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

This is not the first time that a ATM robbing crew has used 2 cars to steal an ATM.  Remember recently, a car was driven into West End Mall and left inside the mall after thieves stole an ATM inside.
