No February Homicides in Zone 4, Atlanta Police Records Show

A Cascade Patch review of Atlanta police records shows a drop in APD Zone 4 murders from January to February 2011.

The homicide rate in the Atlanta Police Department covering a large portion of southwest Atlanta dropped from two in January to none in February, according to a Cascade Patch review of police records.

Crime maps for APD Zone 4 show two murders committed in January in the area; Cascade Patch news records show a murder on Jan. 4 of a 21-year-old man, on Wells Drive near Campbellton, and another of a woman in an apartment complex, in the 1900 block of Allison Court, on Jan. 14.

The Atlanta Police Department's February map for the zone (see attached pdf maps) shows no records of murder.
