Update: BMW Driver Dies after Officer Involved Car Accident

A police cruiser and BMW collided Saturday evening, sending several to the hospital, including the officer.

UPDATE:  It is being reported by the AJC that Jacqueline Culp, who was driving the BMW has died in the hospital due to her injuries she sustained after a police cruiser slammed into her car.

Jacqueline Culp, 59, of Atlanta, died of injuries she received in the wreck that happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday at Cascade and Fairburn roads. Police said an APD cruiser driven by officer Joshua Sieck was traveling west on Cascade Road responding to a call for assistance when it collided with a BMW driven by Culp who was traveling south on Fairburn Road.

Channel 2 Action News is reporting that several people were hospitalized, including Officer Joshua Sieck, whose patrol car caught fire with him still inside. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injures.

Emergency crews transported the driver of the BMW to Atlanta Medical Center with serious injuries.

The accident reportedly happened when Sieck was responding to a call for assistance. The impact sent two cars into Kenyatta White's car, which had White and her two kids inside. Both children were uninjured. White was treated and released from the hospital, according to the report.

The crash is still under investigation, according to Fulton County police.
