Police say Rogers Ave. Shooting was Targeted

Sgt. Curtis Davenport of the Atlanta Police Department has just released an updated report on the shootings that occurred on Rogers Avenue, off of Ralph David Abernathy over the weekend.

Two people were shot, with one dying in Grady Hospital.  The report states that, "investigators believe that the suspects came to the residence with specific targets in mind." 

The case is still an open homicide and the department would not go into more details than that, but they wanted the public and the community to know, "it is not believed that this is a random occurrence."

This homicide comes on the heels of the that crime was way down in the area, and that it was mostly theft that police were seeing in the neighborhood..
