Police Search for a Suspect who Attempted to Rape a Girl While Walking to Kennedy Middle School

A 12 year-old girl says she was attacked and held at gunpoint on her way to school in Southwest Atlanta, Monday morning.

WSB-TV has reported that a 12 year-old girl named Destiny Williams was attacked by a man holding a gun on Monday morning as she walked to Kennedy Middle School in Southwest Atlanta.

According to the report, the attacker forced the girl behind a vacant home on Camilla Street, by holding a gun to her back.  Once behind the house, Destiny says that he asked her to unbutton her pants.  Destiny refused, and says she was able to push the gun away and took off running while screaming for help.

Neighbors who knew her,  saw her screaming as the little girl ran from this harrowing experience and came to her assistance.

Destiny Williams was able to give a description of the suspect to the police, and it was her grandparents that wanted her to share this story as a warning for other families in the area.

The Atlanta Police Department says that they are looking for a large (heavy-set) light-skinned Black male with a scruffy beard for questioning.

I hope that the cops get a hold of this guy right away. Offenders like him could just be around town trying to get those women, especially those young ones in schools and colleges. As a parent, I worry about my kids going home that sometimes I cannot contact them as I am eventually busy at work. So I thought of searching for a safety protection for my kids, and luckily, I heard this mobile-based application from my friend, and I got interested with it. It's an application called the help button that can be press to notify trusted friends and family or if really needed to get to the nearest 911. It's very reliable when it comes to real emergency, they can give an immediate response so this application can save lives. If you want your family to be protected, you should try this apps too.
