Police Searching for Second Suspect in Home Invasion

85-year-old woman robbed and assaulted last week by assailants at her Legacy Drive apartment near AU Center.

Atlanta Police are continuing to search for a female suspect involved in an armed robbery and aggravated assault of an 85-year-old woman in her apartment on Legacy Drive just west of the Atlanta University Center last week.

According to police and a report by Fox-5 Atlanta reporter Kaitlyn Pratt, Julia Phillips said there was a knock at her door last Saturday. That's when she said two strangers forced their way inside.

They covered her face with duct tape, she said, and ransacked the apartment and took off with two large screen TVs. Family members say Phillips is disabled and wears a bracelet with an alert button but she was unable to activate it during the attack.
