Surveillance Footage from the ATM Theft at Lakewood Avenue Family Dollar

ATM thefts continue to rise in Atlanta. Recognize any of these suspects?

The Atlanta Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the group of men seen on camera stealing the ATM at a Family Dollar store on Lakewood Avenue.

According to the police report, "on August 13th, 2013 at 5:19AM officers were dispatched to 2779 Lakewood Avenue SW, for a possible burglary in progress."

The responding officers were, "advised that the alarm company viewed approximately five black males on surveillance cameras wearing black hoodies breaking into the store stealing an ATM and escaping in a blue Chrysler van."

APD investigators have just released the surveillance footage of the males connected to the crime, in hopes that someone in the community will recognize them and submit an anonymous tip that could help solve this crime.

Investigators say, "the video shows the males leaving in the van at 5:09AM headed towards Metropolitan Parkway Southwest. The suspects fell in a blue Chrysler van."
