Suspect Arrested in Fatal Northwest Atlanta Apartment Shooting

Fairburn man charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and attempted robbery in connection with March 9 shooting death of Rodney Walker.

Atlanta police have a arrested a man wanted in a fatal shooting earlier this month at the Daron Village Apartments on Harwell Road.

According to Officer Kim Jones, Mario Talley, 28, was brought into custody on Friday and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and attempted robbery in connection with March 9 shooting death of Rodney Walker.

Walker was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the rear of the apartment building after what witnesses told authorities was an exchange of gunfire in the breezeway of one of the buildings.

Another man, Isiah Knight, told responding officers that he had been robbed and shot outside the northwest Atlanta apartments, and investigators have linked both shootings to Talley according to Jones.

Talley, of Fairburn, is being held in the Fulton County jail without bond.
