(UPDATE) SW Atlanta Girl Missing Since Wednesday Night

At this time there is no indication of foul play according to police.

Update: Feb. 22, 2:20 p.m.:

From Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones: "Please cancel the Missing Person Alert for Sernesha Burston. She has been located."

Atlanta police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 12-year-old southwest Atlanta girl who was last seen late Wednesday night.

According to her family, Sernesha Burston left the family home in the 1600 block of Stanton Road around 11 p.m. to visit a nearby friend.

Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee described Burston as being 5 feet tall, weighing around 140 pounds, and with brown eyes and black hair.

She was last seen wearing a red and white jacket with the number 23 on it, and orange and grey shoes.

At this time there is no indication of foul play according to Chafee.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Burston is asked to call the Atlanta Police Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260 or call 911.
