UPDATED: More Details On Evans Drive Homicide

Police have description of vehicle used in the incident.

Atlanta police have released a description of a vehicle suspected of being used in  late Thursday's homicide on Evans Drive.

"That vehicle is described as a white Chevy Suburban," said Atlanta Police Public Affairs Supervisor Curtis Davenport. "That's all we have to share at the moment."

At 11:10 pm on Thursday, police responded to a call at 1888 Evans Drive "to find a male victim on a person shot and deceased on scene," Davenport said. "The victim was found inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds to his body."

Preliminary investigations show the victim may have walked into his home while it was being burglarized. Police are still investigating whether anything was taken from the house.

Davenport also said a female was present with the victim when the incident occurred. "This female was struck in the head with a gun," Davenport said. "She was treated on scene by medical personnel, but was not transported."

No arrests have been made in this case.

A Cascade Patch search of the address indicates it is located in Sylvan Hills between Lee Street and Sylvan Road.

According to a report on Friday's CBS Atlanta website, Atlanta Police Lt. Paul Guerrucci said multiple shots were fired inside the home.

According to Friday's AJC.com report on the incident, at least three guns were used in the shooting. Guerrucci said that investigators found multiple bullet shell casings and one of the weapons at the scene.
