Toddlers Shot, 1 Killed in Southwest Atlanta

Police say the shooting does not appear to be a drive-by.

An early morning shooting in Southwest Atlanta Saturday has left a 2-year-old girl dead and a 1-year-old boy injured and in the hospital, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Shots were fired into a home at Polar Rock Place SW at 1:40 a.m., police told the AJC.

The 2-year-old girl, Ty-Teyanna Motley, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The 1-year-old boy, whose name was not provided, was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and is in critical condition, police stated.

Police are calling on the community for information about the double shooting, which they said does not appear to be a drive-by shooting.
