Two Suspects Arrested for Body Found in Burning Car

A burning car was found in Southwest Atlanta in July of this year with a body in the trunk.

Remember the gruesome crime in July, when a body was discovered in a burning car in the back of an abandoned building?  The APD has arrested 2 suspects in this case.

The body was identified as Gregory Vernon Harris of Covington by the Medical Examiner(ME). The ME reported that the cause of death was by suffocation.  He had been reported missing, and although the car was known to be his, there was a slight delay in identifying the body due to the burns.

In a statement from the Atlanta Police Department, they released the names of the 2 suspects they have in-custody:

On Sept. 27th, 2012, Atlanta Police Department Fugitive Unit officers arrested Andrew Valentino Wilson (B/M DOB 12/19/1967) and Edgar Allen Hubbard (B/M 2/22/1972) and charged them each with murder and arson in the first degree. Both were transported to the Fulton County Jail.

On 14 July 2012, Atlanta Fire Rescue responded to a dwelling fire, at 860 Westmount Road in southwest Atlanta.  Upon their arrival the fire fighters discovered that it was not a dwelling fire, but an automobile that was fully engulfed with fire. Once the fire was extinguished, a body was discovered in the trunk.
