U.S. Marshals Shoot Man at Crowne Plaza Hotel in East Point

Early Wednesday, United States Marshals were forced to shoot a suspect at the East Point hotel.

Reports are surfacing this morning that an early morning arrest led to a man being shot by officers at the Crowne Plaza hotel in East Point.

The unnamed man was wanted for the sale of Meth and explosives.  According to CBS Atlanta, when the agents tried to arrest him, he brandished a handgun and was subsequently shot by the U.S. Marshals. 

The man, who officials have not named, was wanted for sale of meth and possession of explosives, according to East Point Police who assisted in the arrest. The U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force received information just after midnight that the man was in a hotel room.  -CBS

He was transferred to Grady Hospital and is in stable condition.
