UPDATE: Westview Area Woman Awakens, Find Intruders in Her House

Incident happened around 4 am Friday morning.

Atlanta police are investigating a home invasion that occurred early Friday morning in which a woman woke up and found three masked men in her bedroom, stealing her television.

Atlanta police spokesman Curtis Davenport said the incident occurred in the 500 block of West Ontario Ave., just east of Westview Cemetery in southwest Atlanta.

The victim told police that at around 3 am Friday morning, the victim was awakened by a noise in her bedroom. "She advised that when she opened her eyes she saw three black male suspects in her bedroom," Davenport said.

One suspect had a shotgun and told the victim they were there to “get the merchandise.” She said the other two suspects were removing her television from her bedroom.

Besides the television, the suspects took her purse that contained approximately $60. The victim also told police that "she could hear a female outside her home telling the suspects to hurry."

She also told police that she had had a female house guest several days earlier. Police do not know if that guest is connected to Friday's home invasion.

WSB-TV Channel 2 Action News is reporting that police believe the suspects entered the woman's home through a back window
