Woman's Body Found in Abandoned Southwest Atlanta Home
Police are conducting a death investigation.
Atlanta Police are investigating what happened to a woman whose body was found in an abandoned southwest Atlanta home on Saturday night.
Atlanta Police said Zone 4 uniform patrol officers responded to a call of a person down at 1021 Lawton St. SW.
Officers found the body of an unidentified and unresponsive nude African-American female on her back once they arrived to the scene of the abandoned home.

Grady EMS responders arrived on the scene and confirmed that the woman was dead.
Police investigators do not suspect foul play, Atlanta Police spokeswoman Kim Jones stated.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause and manner of death of the woman.
