ARC Telephone Surveys on Transportation Projects Begin This Week

"Telephone Town Halls" will begin this week, according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Southwest Atlanta residents likely will be among those given a chance starting this week to give their views on transportation projects to be included in a 2012 referendum to decide a proposed 1-cent transit tax.

According to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constittion, the Atlanta Regional Commission starting this week will hold a series of "telephone town halls" that will reach out to more than 1 million residents for feedback on proposed transporation projects, including a number in southwest Atlanta.

The Fulton County portion of the survey will be conducted June 22 at 6 p.m., the newspaper said. Random calls will be made, but there's also a number to participate: 1-888-886-6603.
