Commissioner Darnell Hosts Thursday Budget Forum

Fulton County's "Citizen Sense" workshop gives District 5 residents a chance to share their "two cents" about the county's 2012 budget.

Fulton County Board Vice Chairwoman Emma Darnell is hosting a 2012 budget forum tonight at the Atlanta Mission, 2352 Bolton Road.

The meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Carpenter's House, will give District 5 residents and chance "to discuss the services and programs that matter most" in preparation for the 2012 budget, according to a news release from the county.

Called "Citizen Sense," the session will begin with a brief video presentation before the entire group breaks out into smaller groups where they are able to simulate the budget process and allocate funding to the programs that matter most to them.
