Davis Recommends Closing Stanton, Fain Elementaries

APS Superintendent Dr. Erroll Davis is recommending the closure of and elementary schools as part of the system’s redistricting process.

Davis’ recommendations were released late Sunday evening on the system’s website.

“We are considering options for use” for Stanton, Davis’ report said, and added Fain Elementary’s building “will be repurposed.”

Some southwest Atlanta residents urged Davis to , arguing the community is better served with smaller schools.
