District 5 Town Hall Meeting, 2/26, with Commissioner Emma Darnell

Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Emma I. Darnell invites residents to the last scheduled town hall meeting, in what was a series of District 5 Town Hall Meetings. The upcoming Town Hall meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bowen-Bankhead Atlanta-Fulton Library Branch, 2685 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy, NW, Atlanta.

According to the neighborhood press release, "the meeting will address a variety of issues, and will include presentations by County staff on Environmental Justice Legislation, Jobs/ Economic Development, Land Use and Quality of Life issues."

The hottest issue which will likely be discussed at the Town Hall meeting is the introduction of 3 House Bills to the Georgia Legislature, that Board of Commissioners including Emma Darnell are fighting against.    In the interview she calls HB 171 the "Fulton County Re-Segregation Bill."
