Get Out! Your Weekend Football Plans Are Here

Now that the World Series is over and the NBA is still in lockout, it's football, football, football at area sports bars and real amateur boxing at the Atlanta Civic Center!

1) Football Weekend on Cascade:

Where/When: Cascade Applebee’s, 3690 Cascade Road. Saturday, 11:00 a.m until midnight and Sunday, 1:00 to 11:30 p.m.

The Event: Now that the World Series is over and the NBA is still in lockout, it’s football, football and more football. The past two weekends have seen highly ranked and undefeated teams suffer their first lost. This Saturday will be no different as the top two teams in the official college football BCS rankings will square off in Tuscaloosa, Alabama as number one LSU Tigers visits number two Alabama Crimson Tide in a battle of SEC powerhouses.

Not to be outdone in the first weekend of November, the NFL is in full swing as they are at the midpoint of the season with just one undefeated team remaining, the defending Superbowl Champion Green Bay Packers. So get out the house and come on down to your Cascade Applebee’s and enjoy delicious nachos, wings and things, fajitas or any of Applebee’s signature dishes and chase it down with your favorite drink. 2) Let’s Get Ready to Rumble:

When/Where: Atlanta Civic Center, 395 Piedmont Ave., Saturday, 5:00 p.m.

The Event: City of Atlanta mayor, Kasim Reed and Police Chief, George Turner presents the 2011 Mayor’s Cup. Come see amateur boxing matches, which include an exhibition face off match. In one corner will be the Atlanta Police Department and in the other corner the Atlanta Fire Department. Funds raised will be used to support the Police Athletic League (PAL) activities for Atlanta Youths. 3) Sexy in the Burbs:

Where/When: WineStyles Cascade, 3752 Cascade Rd., Suite #140 Friday,
6:30 – 8:30
