Incumbent Fulton Sheriff, Tax Commissioner Face Election Challenges

Ted Jackson of Alpharetta runs to keep his seat as sheriff, while Johns Creek's John Jamont tries to unseat the incumbent tax commissioner.

The two incumbents face a few tough challengers this election year.  One is a returning politician from SW Atlanta who is back in the hunt for his old job as Sheriff.

Richard Lankford was the first African-American to ever be elected Sheriff way back in 1985, and even though he said he would never run again, he is excited to take on the challenge of making some much needed changes in the Fulton County Jail and even the Sheriff's Department.
