MARTA Changes to Route Numbers 56, 93 and 95 Begin Saturday

MARTA will implement service changes on 13 bus routes Saturday to improve overall service and on-time performance for customers. 

The No. 56 Adamsville/Collier Heights, the No. 93 East Point/Delow Drive and the No. 95 Metropolitan Parkway/Hapeville are the two main routes to see changes in the greater Cascade Patch area (see full list and details below). For more information, visit www.itsmarta.com or call 404-848-5000.

2 – Ponce de Leon Avenue / Moreland

Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays

Service will be realigned to provide alternating trips along current routing from North Avenue Station to Edgewood/Candler Park Station and from North Avenue Station to Decatur Station via North Avenue, Boulevard, Ponce De Leon Avenue, W. Ponce De Leon Avenue, Commerce Drive and Swanton Way.

8 - North Druid Hills Road

Saturdays

Weekday service frequencies will be widened from 35 to 40 minutes during weekday peak periods, from 50 to 60 minutes during midday and from 45 to 60 minutes evenings and nights. The Saturday service frequency will be widened from 50 to 60 minutes all day. Trip times will be revised to accommodate the frequency changes and improve schedule adherence.

49 - McDonough Boulevard

The outbound end point will be relocated to Moreland Drive at McDonough Boulevard instead of the current location on Moreland Drive at Woodland Avenue on all service days. Some departure times will be revised to reflect the new location.

56 - Adamsville / Collier Heights

The current 3:18 PM trip departing Plainville Drive and Plainville Circle will be revised to depart at 3:15 PM and operate via Tarragon Way, Alex Way, Alex Drive and Waits Drive loop inbound to Hamilton E. Holmes Station.

75 - Tucker

Saturdays

Route 75 will now serve Avondale Station's South Loop Bus Bay on all trips and will no longer serve the North Loop Bus Bay. The route and schedule remain the same.

86 - Fairington Road / McAfee Road

Saturdays & Sundays

Weekday service frequencies will be widened from 15 to 20 minutes during weekday peak periods and from 30 to 35 minutes during midday, evenings and nights. The Saturday and Sunday service frequency will be widened from 30 to 35 minutes all day to improve schedule adherence.

87 - Roswell Road / Morgan Falls

Weekdays

Service will be realigned to include an extension from Dunwoody Place via GA 400 terminating at North Springs Station on weekdays only.

93 - East Point / Delowe Drive

Weekdays,

Saturday & Sundays

Service will be revised so that all trips currently terminating at Delowe Drive will complete the loop and terminate at East Point Station.

95 - Metropolitan Parkway / Hapeville

Weekdays

The weekday afternoon trips that provide service to Atlanta Technical and Atlanta Metropolitan Colleges will be revised to begin at 12:00 PM (noon) instead of 2:00 PM as currently provided.

99 - Boulevard / Monroe

Weekdays

The service will be realigned to operate from GA State Station to North Avenue Station via North Avenue during midday, evenings and nights on weekdays only. No service will be provided along Monroe Drive between North Avenue and 10th Street during midday, evenings and nights on weekdays only. Route 99 will maintain current routing between GA State Station and Midtown Station during weekday peak periods, Saturdays and Sundays.

117 - Rockbridge Road / Panola Road

Weekdays

The weekday midday service frequency will be improved from 35 to 30 minutes. The weekday evening and night service frequencies will be improved from 40 to 30 minutes.

124 - Pleasantdale Road

The Main Street loop segment of the route will be reversed due to the Main Street Streetscape project. Route 124 will operate via a right on Main Street, a left on Lawrenceville Highway, continue left onto Lawrenceville Highway and left on Lavista Road to the shelter at Lehaven Drive which will be the new end point for Route 124.

181 - Buffington Road / South Fulton Park & Ride

Weekdays & Saturdays

The service will be realigned to operate from GA State Station to North Avenue Station via North Avenue during midday, evenings and nights on weekdays only. No service will be provided along Monroe Drive between North Avenue and 10th Street during midday, evenings and nights on weekdays only. Route 99 will maintain current routing between GA State Station and Midtown Station during weekday peak periods, Saturdays and Sundays.
