Mayor Kasim Reed to Deliver "2012 State of the City" Address this Morning

Patch Associate Editor Tim Darnell will cover Mayor Kasim Reed’s 2012 Mayor’s Annual State of the City Business Breakfast address live this morning for Cascade Patch and other city Patch sites.

Mayor Reed’s address this year—at the Georgia World Congress Center—will highlight the accomplishments of his first two years in office and focus on future initiatives, according to a city news release about his speech. Reed also will make an important economic development announcement, according to the release. 

Darnell will use the "Cover It Live" format, which posts minute-by-minute updates of an event and permits readers to add tweets, pictures and other information.

The Mayor’s State of the City Business Breakfast is an annual event where business, community, faith and non-profit leaders come together to hear the “state of the city” from the Mayor.

This year’s breakfast is sponsored by the Atlanta Committee for Progress, and hosted by Muhtar Kent, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company.
