Student Leaders at Clark Atlanta University with Atlanta Voters United hold Massive Registration Rally in AUC

On Tuesday, September 18th hundreds of Atlanta University Students will be registered to vote.

On Tuesday, September 18th,  a group comprised of 70 Deputy Registrars will dispatch a team to the Clartk Atlanta University to register hundreds of students for the upcoming presidential election. Special focus and information will be directed toward 18 and 19 year-old students who will cast votes for the very first time.

The event begins with the annual fall convocation at 11:00 am in the CAU gym.

Dr. Joseph Lowery will serve as speaker followed by a march to the CAU Student Center at Fair and Mildred Street where students will begin the process of making their voice heard at the polls in November and thereafter. In a pre-event summit, all Greek Letter organizations along with on-campus social activist groups, pledged full support and agreed to augment the AVU registration team with full presence and assistance.

CAU anticipates a very large student response.

As the November 2012 election rapidly approaches, ATLANTA VOTERS UNITED, a local voter education/registration organization will join Clark Atlanta University in an aggressive effort to disseminate crucial information within the college community and to add to the voting roster.
