Video: Permanent Memorial for Fulton County's "Fallen Heroes" Dedicated on September 11

Fulton County Fire Rescue, Police, Marshals Departments along with the Sheriff’s Office and Commissioner Bill Edwards (District 7) joined forces to hold a dedication ceremony for the “Circle of Honor” Public Safety Memorial. The ceremony was held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., near the time the towers fell in NYC 11 years ago.

The Circle of Honor memorial is on the grounds of Wolf Creek (3025 Merk Road, College Park, off Camp Creek Parkway).  The memorial is designed to honor Fulton County’s law enforcement and public safety heroes who lost their lives serving their community.

The "Circle of Honor" was designed by a Fulton County employee who was also a former GA Tech Architecture student.  The memorial has a granite obelisk surrounded by a circular path of brick pavers and benches, with the names of local fallen heroes throughout the years.  It is the first of its kind in Fulton County, and looks to be a place that families and friends of fallen heroes can reflect, and meditate.
