Trick-or-Treating is a popular activity on Halloween, but if you're looking for other alternatives for the kids, here is a round-up of the Halloween happenings in South Atlanta!
Today more and more families are seeking "safer" alternatives to the traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating. Here is a round-up of Halloween events and activities in South Atlant that kids will enjoy.
October 30th
Halloween Party & Movie Night (Forest Park). Come for treats, fun and a Halloween Movie (Snow White and the Huntsman). 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Ages 12 and up. Forest Park Branch Library 696 Main Street, Forest Park.

Monster Mash Dance Party (Morrow). Shake out those cobwebs and learn some kid-friendly dance moves during the Monster Mash Dance Party. Join the fun with Halloween activities, games, music and a children's costume contest with prizes. 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Ages 2 to 12. Southlake Mall (lower level Promotion Court) 1000 Southlake Mall.
Trick or Treat Crafts (College Park). Children will make crafts in celebration of Halloween. 4:00 p.m. Ages 3-7. College Park Branch Library 3647 Main Street.
Halloween Fun (Riverdale). Glitter bat crafts, glow sticks, games and treats! Come in your costume for a ghostly time! 4:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. Ages 3-9. Riverdale Branch Library, 420 Valley Hill Road.
Trick-or-Sweet Fun & Games (Hapeville). Admission includes activities, costume contest, goody bags, a pizza slice, and a sip of Monster punch! 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Ages 6-12. ButterSweet Bakery, 625 North Central Avenue.
Trick-or-Treat at the Riverdale Centre (Riverdale). Spend the evening in a safe and exciting way. Lots of tricks in store to make this a fun event. 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Riverdale Centre for the Arts, 7210 Church Street.

Safe Halloween (Morrow). The City of Morrow Police Department will host an evening of fun, candy and games. 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Milton Daniel Park in Morrow, Beside Morrow City Hall.
Trick or Treating ONLY (Atlanta). Trick or treating throughout the mall. 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ages 12 and under. Greenbriar Mall.

Halloween Costume Party (Riverdale). Bring the kids to the Riverdale Dwarf House in costume and enjoy a Chick-fil-A Ice Dream toppings bar, face painting, and balloons. 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 6549 Highway 85 S.
