APS Redistricting: Special Meetings Called For Towns Elementary Closure

Parents will get a chance to give input this week and next Monday.


Atlanta Public Schools will host two community meetings for to discuss district superintendent Erroll B. Davis Jr. released Saturday.

By law, whenever a school is targeted for closure, officials in a school district are required to host two meetings to get input from those affected.

APS has already held its required meetings for eight of the schools the superintendent is recommending for closure.

But Towns wasn't on Davis' list.

The meeting dates are:

  • Thursday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Monday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m.

The APS board of education is expected vote on Davis' recommendations during  special meeting scheduled for April 10 at .
