The members of Delta Sigma Theta Atlanta Alumnae Chapter have taken the lead in the fight against Alzheimer's by holding a Community Forum on Thursday, October 6, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the old  Zion Hill Baptist Church, 815 Lynhurst Dr.SW Atlanta.

The chapter will also form a large team and raise funds for the Walk To End Alzheimer's on  Saturday, October 8 at Atlantic Station to bring awareness to the fact that Alzheimer's is the most common  form of dementia and that according to the Alzheimer's Association as many as 5.4 million American are Living With Alzheimer's. More than 10.5 million baby boomers are approaching the age of greatest risk of developing this fatal disease.  Alzheimer's has no current cure but treatment for symptoms are available and research continues.
