South Side Pet Education Day

Free pet vaccinations, routine pet checkups, dog leashes and tethering law information and more will be available for animals and their caregivers.

The goal of the South Side Pet Education Day and event is to educate residents regarding pet care and responsibility.  The South Side Pet Education event was created by Councilmember Joyce Sheperd in response to inquiries from the community in reference to animal control regulations, pet education, leash and tethering laws.

Free rabies shots and other vaccinations will be offered throughout the day.

The event is hosted by Atlanta City Councilmember Joyce M. Shepard, Atlanta City Councilmember Carla Smith and Fulton County Commission Joan Garner.  Staff from the Atlanta Humane Society, Fulton County Animal Control and other pet experts will be in attendance.
