Spelman College Black Women's Health Series Delves Into Relationships

The Spelman College Women's Research and Resource Center presents the first in a series of lectures for its Black Women's Health Series on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at 4:30 pm.

The lecture titled, "Is Your Relationship Based on Power & Control? Or Is It Based On Respect? How Do You Decide?" will feature guest speaker, Sulaiman Nurridin, director of men's education for Men Stopping Violence. Men Stopping Violence is a social change organization where men are dedicated to ending violence against women and children. They believe that social justice work in the areas of race, class, gender, age, and sexual orientation are all critical to ending violence against women.

The lecture will be held in NASA Science Center, Room 134 and is sponsored by the Spelman College Social Justice Fellow Program. For more information call 404-270-5625.
