Please Join The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement at Spelman College for The Eighth Annual Spelman College Leadership and Women of Color Conference. Convened by Jane E. Smith, Executive Director of the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement, the conference aims to empower the personal lives of leaders, as well as to exalt methods which successfully support values and goals for professional leaders. Distinguished speakers such as Henna Inam, CEO of Transformational Leadership Inc., Deborah Owens, CEO of Owens Media Group, Alisha Thomas Morgan GA State House, District 39, as well as the Legacy of Leadership Award Honorees, will discuss and define what it means for women to “lead with purpose.” Overall the 2012 Leadership and Women of Color Conference will exhibit sensible resolutions to advantageously leading with purpose. Attendees will explore building a strong foundation of leadership, the value of innovation, and the importance of mentors. Women and men in corporate and private sectors are welcome to come and take advantage of the limitless opportunities that this two day conference will offer.
