Former Westlake HS Student Awarded a Congressional Black Caucus Scholarship

One talented Westlake graduate will have a few extra dollars to help with college fees.

Congressman David Scott (GA-13) and Mrs. Alfredia Scott will host a special ceremony on Monday at 10 a.m. at Scott's Smyrna office, to present Congressional Black Caucus Foundation scholarships to 10 students in the metro area.  

Since 2003, Congressman Scott and his wife, Mrs. Alfredia Scott, have awarded $140,500 in scholarships to 81 students. 

This year Kamari Wright, a 2013 graduate from Westlake High School is one of the recipients.  She will use her scholarship money to help with her tuition at Ohio State University.
