Fulton BOE To Hold Final Millage Rate Hearing Thursday Night

The school board will hold the last of three public hearings on a proposal to raise its millage rate by .88 percent above the rollback millage rate.

The last of three public hearings on its proposed fiscal year 2015 will be held tonight during the Fulton County School Board meeting.

The hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 19 at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School, located at 8100 Roberts Drive in Sandy Springs. 

The board is expected to adopt its 2015 rates following the hearing at 7 p.m. 

The board intends to increase the rate by 0.88 percent over the rollback millage rate. The current rate is 18.502.

Before tonight's hearing and meeting, the board’s Audit Committee will convene at 2 p.m. followed by a governance training session for the full board at 3 p.m. At 5 p.m. the board is expected to convene to executive session. 

The board is expected to return from executive session and call its regular meeting to order at 6 p.m.
