Judge Glenda Hatchett to give Commencement Address at Atlanta Technical College

Atlanta Technical College announced its 2012 Commencement speaker, Judge Glenda Hatchett

Judge Glenda Hatchett is a long time resident of Atlanta and supporter of many local causes.  She has been named the Commencement Speaker at the 2012 Graduation Ceremony taking place on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Civic Center.

Hatchett was appointed Chief Presiding Judge of the Fulton County Juvenile Court in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1990, making her the first African-American Chief Presiding Judge of a state court in Georgia and head of one of the largest juvenile court systems in the country.

Currently, Hatchett presides over the two-time Emmy nominated nationally syndicated show, Judge Hatchett, now in its 11th season, for which she won a Prism Award for Best Unscripted Non-Fiction Series or Special for Television.
