Mays High School Student Wins Peachtree Road Farmers Market Design Contest

Stephen Palmer, a Junior at Benjamin E. Mays High School, was awarded 1st place for the Peachtree Road Farmers Market graphic design contest.


TalkUp APS, the Atlanta Public Schools Blog, recently announced that a Mays High School student was the winner of the Peachtree Road Farmers Market graphic design contest and will have his design printed on 3000 bags.

According to the article, "On Saturday, April 6, Stephen Palmer, a Junior at Benjamin E. Mays High School, was awarded 1st place."

Stephen attended the opening day of the Peachtree Road Farmers Market along with his graphic arts teacher, Ms. Shirley Guiteau.   He was awarded a $1,000 scholarship check and will have his unique design printed on 3000 of their bags.

As you can see from the photo, Palmer’s winning design was a peach rising over the city skyline.
