Mothers of Trayvon Martin, Robert Champion, & Canard Arnold to discuss Race & Justice at Tri-Cities HS

Trayvon Martin's mother to visit Tri-Cities Hugh School for a Town Hall Meeting on Race & Justice

WAOK just announced that Lorraine Jacques White, host of Talk 1380's POWERTALK,  along with Tri-Cities High School and Greg Street of V-103 are holding a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, May 17.

The mothers of Trayvon Martin, Robert Champion, Canard Arnold and the father of Erving Johnson will all be in attendance to discuss Race and Justice: Empowering Mothers to Preserve the Life of African-American Men.

This will be the first time that all of these grieving parents of young victims will be gathered to discuss their children and what can be done to stop the senseless killings in the future.

was shot down while unarmed and walking home by a neighborhood watch citizen.   was hazed to death by fellow band members at FAMU.  Canard Arnold was shot and killed by an apartment security guard here in Atlanta on New Year's Eve.

The ultimate mission of the Town Hall is to "provide families with resources, knowledge and tools to protect the lives and futures of their sons."  The Town Hall is free to the public and takes place from 6pm to 8:30pm at Tri-Cities High School in East Point.
