Parents are Invited to the Only Scheduled APS Special Needs Meeting of the Year, CASE

Parents of special needs students, and parents interested in improving schools as a whole are urged to attend, Wednesday night.

Parents with children in Atlanta Public Schools that have special needs or even those who do not have special needs are urged to attend Wednesday night's meeting with APS.

The meeting on Wednesday at South Atlanta High school from 6-8p.m., will dig into how to make the APS special needs program better for all parties involved.  South Atlanta High is located at 800 Hutchens Road, Atlanta, GA

This is a district wide forum in which parents will learn about advocacy and    outreach, and they will meet the key players in the APS Department of Special  Education including John O’Connor, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services and Vickie Cleveland, Executive Director of the Department of Special Education.

Parents will receive an update on the Special Needs Audit, have the ability to network with other parents, visit with APS Support Service personnel, and receive techniques on how they can facilitate student achievement and success.
