You may think you don't know Larry Munson, the legendary UGA announcer who died Sunday in Athens at age 89.
But take a look at the YouTube tribute here; if you've lived in Atlanta for a while and follow sports, you know this voice.
According to, the beloved broadcaster was the “Voice of the Bulldogs” from 1966 to 2008, during which his passion for the Red-and-Black created some of the more memorable radio calls in college football history.
Some of the most memorable:
“Run Lindsay … Lindsay Scott, Lindsay Scott, Lindsay Scott” (1980 vs. Florida)
“Again you guys, hunker down!” and “Look at the sugar falling out of the sky.” (1982 vs. Auburn);
“Oh, you Hershel Walker!” (1980 vs. Tennessee);
“We just stepped on their face with a hobnailed boot and broke their nose.” (2001 vs. Tennessee).
