State Seeking Restraining Order Against Atlanta Public Schools
APS board members meet late Monday afternoon to discuss litigation involving CRCT cheating allegations, local media reports.
State prosecutors filed a motion Monday for a temporary restraining order against the Atlanta Public Schools, local media reported Monday afternoon.
According to a report on WXIA-TV 11-Alive's website, the order would force the school system to halt its own internal investigation of alleged cheating on the 2009 Criterion-Referenced Competency Test (CRCT).
The system's investigation included the questioning of witnesses to a Nov. 17th meeting at which SRT 4 area superintendent Tamara Cotman reportedly encouraged principals not to cooperate with a state investigation of CRCT cheating.
