Westlake High Hosts State Of The School Event

The school's principal will discuss several topics.


Westlake High School is hosting a "state of the school" address by Principal Dr. Grant Rivera on Tuesday evening, April 24, beginning at 6:30 in the school auditorium.

In a newsletter that was e-mailed to parents recently, Rivera said he would focus on several topics, including:

  • Student achievement
  • School culture
  • Safety, order, and discipline
  • Magnet program
  • Athletics 
  • Family engagement

"I will be providing each family with a packet of information that details trends in student achievement and our plans for future improvement," Rivera said.

Before the speech, the Westlake PTSA will be holding elections, beginning at 5:30.
